Rivox Privacy Policy

1) Data We Process

Account & identification: name, email, Apple Sign-in identifier.
App usage: user-set limits, total screen-time counters, challenge status (active/cancelled), list of blocked apps (no content).
Payments/Donations: handled exclusively by Stripe. Rivox does not store your card/banking data.
Technical: device model, iOS version, anonymized technical IDs, logs.
Website: strictly necessary cookies and, if used, analytics (see Cookies).

2) Purposes & Legal Bases

Provide the service (app blocking, challenges) – contract performance.
Process payments and route donations to selected charities – contract/legal obligations.
Security, fraud prevention, support – legitimate interest.
Optional marketing communications – consent.

3) Donations & Charities’ Role

When you cancel a challenge, the amount you defined is charged via Stripe and sent directly to the charity you selected (e.g., Human Appeal / Doctors Without Borders / UNICEF).
Rivox takes no commission on donations. Charities do not receive your personal data, except what may be legally required for accounting reconciliation.

4) Data Sharing

Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (payment processing, PCI-DSS).
Hosting/IT processors (hosting, email, analytics) under GDPR Art. 28 agreements.
Authorities where required by law.

5) International Transfers

Where processors are outside the EU (e.g., US), we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent safeguards.

6) Retention

Account data: for the duration of use, then up to 36 months after last activity (or deleted upon request).
Logs/security: 6–12 months.
Payment data: kept by Stripe per legal requirements.

7) Security

TLS in transit, access controls, logging. Payments handled by Stripe (PCI-DSS).

8) Your Rights (GDPR)

Access, rectification, deletion, restriction, objection, portability.

9) Minors

Rivox is intended for users aged 16+ (or local equivalent). Under-age accounts without required consent are not allowed.

10) Cookies / Analytics (Website)

Necessary cookies: site operation.
Analytics (if used): enabled with your consent via a cookie banner; you can withdraw consent anytime.
